Day 1: Intro to Me & My Goal

Hello World!

My name is Jeff and today I’m committing to learn how to cook.

Here’s the deal:

I go out to eat way too much.  I do this for 2 reasons:

  1. I don’t have the skills to make food for myself
  2. It’s easy

When I was a kid, my parents and grandparents cooked often.  I had many opportunities to watch and learn, but I wasn’t interested at the time.  When I eventually moved out of my family’s house and into my first apartment, I had no idea what to do with my stove.  The only thing I could make at home was Cup O’ Noodles in the microwave.
